The church was constructed in 1803. This is an Armenian church, which was built in the traditions of cult architecture of the XVIIIth century. Outside the church is decorated by blind arcades and pilasters. In 1917, the so-called "Prince of Armenians", Manuk-bei, was buried nearby the southern wall of the church porch. The church represents national patrimony.
