"Rudi" or "Rughi" Monastery

The monastery church was constructed in 1777 by Duca Voda on the estate, belonging to brothers Andronache and Teodor Rudi on the basis of their and merchant`s, Donciul from Movilau (Podolia), funds. It was finalized in 1828 during the reign of Grigore Ghica. "Saint Trinity" and "Saint Dumitru" churches are located on the territory of this monastery. Appearance of the "Rudi" monastery is linked to a legend, saying that there used to be a spring with the miracle-working water.
